okay i know i’m not the only queer person who is bothered by this video, so let me speak up now. i’m letting the angry queer loose. don’t like it, don’t care.

i’m pretty sick of people sharing this video and acting like it’s a fucking milestone for the queer community.

for one, i honestly think this video is kind of comical. showing queers as the enemy? yeah, great strategy. we really needed that. it’s NOT the perfect way to get a point. if reversing these roles - which is a ridiculously comical premise - is the only way to get straight people to pay attention to us, that just proves what kind of a horrible heterosexist world we live in. and if you’re a straight person reblogging this, please think about that a little more. how is this one of the most powerful things anyone has ever seen?? it’s not that fucking good. we don’t get to see any of the girl’s relationship with the guy. it’s not even that emotional.

they completely failed on the reversal of the gender roles, too. like the football thing? that was really the only gender reversal thing they mentioned and what does that have to do with being queer??? not all lesbians like sports like i just don’t understand what they were doing with that that’s not helpful and if that’s the case why didn’t they have more cross dressing characters?? why did all the characters “look” straight?
